Computer Generated Solutions has released its BlueCherry Multi-Channel Merchandise Planning (MCMP) solution designed to improve individual retail, wholesale, catalog and internet channel results, according to a company press release. It's on display now through April at INSIGHT, CGS's 10th annual customer conference in Atlantic City, N.J.
The new module will benefit fashion and apparel companies by reducing stock-outs and mark-downs as well as improving productivity and collaboration across the company and its supplier and channel relationships, Paul Magel, president of the applications solutions group at CGS, said in the release.
"To thrive in today's extremely competitive fashion and soft-goods marketplace it's crucial for companies to stay up-to-date on consumer demand and continuously improve collaboration with their channel partners," he said. "The BlueCherry Multi-Channel Merchandise Planning solution helps retailers do just that by enabling them to merge individual plans into a single, multi-channel arrangement that can increase sales, margins, fulfillment rates, and inventory turns across their entire operation."
The solution allows companies to select the channel planning, inventory control and brand management tools required to make better design, purchasing and inventory decisions. By leveraging a common planning engine, the software automatically updates teams on any changes in real-time, empowering them to speed on-trend merchandise to market, ensure great full price sell-through and increase margins, Magel said.
The platform also features powerful category planning capabilities including assortment planning tools and specific Internet sales and marketing capabilities designed for e-commerce channels.
