More local stores in Chicago are enrolling in Amazon’s Prime Now one-hour delivery program, providing delivery of everything from baked goods to prepared meals.

The newest retailers include Plum Market, Sprinkles Cupcakes and My Fit Foods, according to a company press announcement.

"We know Plum Market guests will love getting their favorite foods and brands through Amazon's Prime Now delivery service," Plum Market CEO and founder Matt Jonna stated in the release. "As guests celebrate this holiday season, they will be able to have access to the very best selection of all natural, organic, local, and specialty items in a full-service shopping experience without having to leave the warmth of their own home."

Chicago subscribers can use the Prime Now app, which is available on iOS and Android, to place orders. According to Amazon tens of millions of members worldwide are using Prime. Prime Now is available in more than 20 cities across the country, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Dallas, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, Portland, and San Diego.

"Prime Now has been so popular with Chicago Prime members that we are excited to expand our superfast delivery benefits to include groceries and treats from favorite local stores Plum Market, Sprinkles Cupcakes, and My Fit Foods," said Stephenie Landry, director of Prime Now. "There are times when you can't make it to the store and there are times when you simply don't want to go, especially now as customers are busy preparing for the holidays."
