FamilyMart, a Taiwan convenience store chain, has launched a convenience store on an electric vehicle that offers self checkout, according to a Taiwan News report. The "FamiMobi" was launched at the Southern Taiwan Science Park.

The company built FamiMobi in the collaboration with 15 electric car suppliers in Taiwan.

Huang Shih-chieh, who oversees FamilyMart's data governance department, said the company will test automatic grocery product detection and recognition and app-based check-out and payment on the FamiMobi.

FamiMobi services will also be offered to Yuguang Island, the Taijiang National Park and other attractions.
