Crate and Barrel taps Glympse to boost curbside experience

Crate and Barrel is teaming up with Glympse, a day-of-service mobile communications platform, to boost curbside pickup.

The platform provides proactive communication, real-time status updates for customers and greater visibility into the pickup experience, according to a press release.

The service is one of many enhancements in the home furnishing retailer's drive to meet customers where and how they want to shop by providing a modern experience. The retailer is seeing a slew of results including shorter wait times, streamlined operations and positive reactions from customers.

The Glympse communications platform is reducing calls to the store and minimizing customer wait times as it notifies customers when an order is ready, provides pickup instructions and allows customers to share ETA and arrival status.

"Crate and Barrel has always been committed to providing personalized customer experiences," Sarah Casalan-Bittle, VP, stores, Crate and Barrel, said in the release.

"Partnering with Glympse has allowed us to maintain that commitment to our customers by providing timely notifications and clear visibility into deliveries that help re-define the modem shopping experience."
