Disneyland has installed facial recognition technology at some entrances to the California park in a quest to stop fraud and speed up visitor re-entry.

The tech captures images that are converted thanks to biometric tech that then crafts unique numerical values, according to a report in The Guardian.

Visitors can choose to not use the lanes featuring the cameras.

The use of facial recognition has prompted debate over privacy and has drawn legal action.

Disneyland is not Disney's first major attraction to use the technology as it has tested it at its Orland Magic Kingdom park several years ago. Several Major League Baseball stadiums offer "go-ahead" entry relying on facial scans, according to the news outlet.
