Dollar General has big growth plans for 2020

Dollar General aims to launch 1,000 stores next year, opening in new cities and towns.

The strategy, according to a CNN report, comes on the heels of a robust year in which store sales increased 4.6%, compared to a year ago, in the most recent quarter.

The retailer operates more than 16,000 stores in the U.S. and acquired competitor Family Dollar four years ago.
