Fossil Group is planning to shutter up to 15 stores as part of a turnaround plan focused on profitability and costs.
The news was shared on the company's Q1 earnings call, which also revealed it had closed seven stores in the first quarter.
Fossil will have about 185 stores worldwide by year's end, Chief Financial Officer Randy Greben told investors during the earnings call, according to a Fox Business report. As of early April it operated 193 stores across the globe.
Fossil reported Q1 net sales of $224.8 million, down from $233.3 million compared to a year ago.
