Going to the mall? Prime parking may cost you

One of the most irritating aspects of shopping at the mall may soon be eliminated, but there will be a price to pay.

Malls and outlet centers are partnering with the MyPark app that lets user reserve best parking spots for a fee, according to a New York Post report.

Shoppers pay $3 for two hours in a spot near an entrance and $3 for each additional hour. Users can reserve as far as six months in advance — a perfect strategy for easing the holiday season shopping excursion and yes some are already booking for Black Friday.

MyPark CEO Luis Mayendia, told the Post the app is catching on as many consumers aren't too fond of valet parting and said 15 malls nationwide are using the service.
