Harry & David launches digital features, new functionality for holiday shopping time

Harry & David has hastened the pace on its mobile commerce site, personalized customer communications, and launched a gift tool and subscription service just in time for the biggest retail season of the year.

The digital transformation moves are aimed at growing online sales while also deepening customer engagement, according to a press release.

"The ongoing investments we are making across our digital channels are not only contributing to the strong online sales growth we’ve been experiencing at Harry & David but are allowing us to deepen our engagement with new and existing customers," said Steve Lightman, president, Harry & David in the release. "While our digital transformation continues, we believe these latest enhancements will further streamline the shopping experience, making it easier than ever for shoppers to share a smile with someone as they cross off items on their gift lists."

Harry & David now has a unique 360-degree view of customers, which allows it to deliver more personalized and relevant experiences.

Digital enhancements include:

  • Gift-finder shopping tool to help digital customers receive quick, tailored product recommendations.
  • Easier search.
  • Enhanced discovery.
  • A subscription service to order favorite Harry & David items  each month. Shoppers can also select five new curated discovery boxes.
