In-store shopping still ranks top with consumers.
A new study by McKinsey reveals 83 percent of U.S. shoppers and 77 percent in the U.K. primarily prefer in-store shopping, but are closely followed by 59 percent of U.S. and 55 percent of U.K. shoppers preferring to shop online.
The research also reveals 24 percent of U.S. and 26 percent of U.K. online shoppers reported negative reactions toward recommendations. Yet, 61 percent appreciated relevant recommendations.
The study was conducted by Periscope and polled over 1,600 consumers on feelings toward Omnichannel retail experiences in the U.S. and U.K.
