Grocery patrons in northeast Miami-Dade county will now have another food shopping option given Instacart is expanding its delivery operations, according to a Miami Herald report.
The online grocery delivery service boasts personal shoppers that pick orders and handle delivery, with brand-name retail food outlets including Whole Foods, Costco, Petco and Winn-Dixie as part of its retail services. The new Miami delivery reflects Instacart’s 17th location after it moved into Miami’s metro area just a little over a month ago, notes the report. The expansions will continue, notes the report.
“With the Zip Codes added in the zone expansion, we have nearly doubled the population that we can serve in the Miami area,” said Instacart Southeast General Manager Nick Friedrich told the Miami Herald.
Pricing on merchandise delivery is dependent on the customers’ delivery choice, ranging from $5.99 for a one-hour delivery to $3.99 for a set time option regarding day and hour. New customers are being offered a free delivery on any order over $10 and there’s an annual delivery membership option of $99 as long as customer orders are more than $35.
