Media Logic helps Cabela's celebrate its anniversary

Cabela’s, the world's largest direct marketer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise, is having a birthday party and has retained Media Logic, a social media marketing agency,  to spread the word.

According to an announcement from Media Logic, Cabela’s is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a year-long sweepstakes giveaway called “50 Years, 50 Trucks.” To support the effort, Media Logic is creating a social media communications plan centered around the Facebook social media network. Media Logic said it has designed a social marketing strategy aimed at raising awareness of the sweepstakes, engaging consumers and harnessing Cabela’s Facebook fans to drive sales.

“Right now there’s a lot of potential energy in Cabela’s social marketing universe; the brand’s Facebook page will soon break a million fans,” said Ronald Ladouceur, executive vice president and executive creative director of Media Logic.

“The retail industry has done an excellent job of gathering likers and followers,” Ladouceur added. “We’re taking the next step and coalescing the customer base around a social promotion that encourages participation and action.”
