Moving mannequins are no longer limited to the reality of a classic 80s movie. At United Arrows' largest apparel store in Tokyo, technology from a Kinect device married mannequins and robots to create a hybrid experience in window design — the Marionettebot.
The Marionettebots are life-like mannequins attached to cords that mimic the movements of passersby through the gesture-reading technology in a Kinect device, creating a captivating experience for would-be window shoppers.
