Mobile consumers made 108 percent more purchases in-app compared to mobile web transactions and that number is likely to keep increasing, according to a study, Button 2019 Mobile Commerce Report: Holiday Analysis.
The data analyzed the past holiday sales activity and indicates retailers must get ahead of mobile strategies given that m-commerce transactions are projected to overtake e-commerce globally this year, according to a press release on the study.
"When consumers find what they want, brands and retailers can connect with new customers, and publishers can benefit from providing the traffic," said Michael Jaconi, co-founder and CEO of Button, in the release.
