Nike's Chicago flagship reopens

October 2, 2012

Last week, Nike re-opened its Chicago flagship store after remodeling and expanding the retail space, according to an article on ballerstatus.com.

The multi-category store concept features Nike's largest retail basketball collection, exclusive Chicago memorabilia, a complete collection of Jordan footwear on display and local photography and artwork celebrating the city's neighborhoods.

In addition to carrying an assortment of apparel, equipment and footwear, the flagship also shows off Nike's latest innovations like Nike+ Basketball and Nike+ Running, and a NIKEiD studio, which allows consumers to customize and personalize Nike products to their specifications, with the help of trained design consultants, the article reported.

The new Nike Chicago is the eighth Nike concept store of its kind in the U.S., with each functioning as a multi-category shopping experience continuing the "Athletes Serving Athletes" concept to hiring and training employees.
