The plan to build a Costco in Asheville, North Carolina, is moving forward after the city's planning and zoning commission approved the wholesaler's resubmitted application.

The project, which features a 160,000-square-foot space in Enka Commerce Park, will now go to the city council this week, according to a WLOS report.

The Costco store, which has been in the planning works for about two years, would include a tire center, a 32-pump gas station and over 800 parking spaces, according to the news outlet.

The initial plan was withdrawn given traffic concerns.

If approved by the city council the project will undergo a traffic impact assessment.
