According to WIDN.com, London’s Selfridges, a high-end department store chain, is presenting a retail installation for Puma, designed to showcase an avant-garde approach to clothing displays.
The installation was created by Everyone Associates, a design consulting agency, for the Puma by Hussein Chalayan collection. It is constructed out of 625 vertical rods, and each of the rods are printed with the longitude and latitude coordinates of a city.
A barcode is also featured in the design that allows customers to scan it using a smart phone, which then links them to a Google map of the fashionable areas in the particular city scanned.
Incorporating cartography and art, the interactive installation was designed to mirror Chalyan's experimental approach and complement Puma’s innovative and hip elements.
