Chicago's flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store will offer men a "new lifestyle shopping experience all under one roof," said Tom Ott, senior vice president for Men's, Home and Gifts at Saks.
Opening in January is a new men's shopping concept called The Fifth Man — two floors of retail space dedicated to men looking to live a distinctive lifestyle, the Chicago Business Journal reported.
Nine floor-to-ceiling display cases will be placed on both floors to showcase clothing in the department and function similar to street-level window displays. Floors will be covered in oak planking from the Netherlands, and topped with a mix of classic and contemporary furniture. An express elevator will take shoppers from ground floor directly to The Fifth Man, the article reported.
The retailer is also introducing its new restaurant, Sophies at Saks Fifth Avenue, and incorporating it into the men's department.
