Shopgate joins Magento partner program

Mobile commerce platform Shopgate Inc. is a select partner under the Magento Technology Partner Program, allowing Magento merchants to expand mobile and desktop sites with mobile apps that connect online and offline transactions from frequent customers.

Magento merchants will be able to directly engage loyal customers on smartphones and other mobile devices, which company executives say will help boost retention rates, according to a press release.

"Together with Magento, merchants can now offer a seamless digital experience across desktop, mobile web and native mobile apps, whether solving for complex B2B process challenges or expanding B2C ominichannel strategy," Tiffany Spizzo, vice president of global business development at Shopgate, said in the release.

Merchants will use segmented push notifications to create targeted and relevant native app experiences, armed with demographic, location and user behavior, according to Shopgate, which already offers its platform to several Magento omnichannel and B2B merchants, including City Gear, Monin, Kicks USA, Alessandro and others.
