Target has kicked off its Black Friday sales, offering select deals nearly one month early.
The retailer is also offering consumers a new "skip the line" purchase option as Target team members can now conduct checkout anywhere in the store via a mobile device, according to a press release.
"We know many of our guests look forward to our Black Friday deals every year, and today, they can start shopping and save big on some of the hottest items of the season," said Mark Tritton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Target, in the release.
The mobile checkout is available at all Target stores nationwide. Store associates can scan any item and accept payment by credit card.
Last year, Target debuted technology that allows team members to place online orders for guests directly from the sales floor and have purchases shipped to their doors.
