To help its customers personalize gift purchases, the retailer, Things Remembered, is rolling out iPads to all of its 174 stores in the first leg of its latest in-store innovation strategy.

Customers can personalize one-of-a-kind gifts, view the designs and make edits with just a few clicks and also have help from an in-store personalization expert, according to a press release.

In addition, some stores also now house a personalization "bar" where customers can get insight on production of personalized items and also design items. The bar environment is aimed at making the personalization process as seamless as possible while supporting the customer’s creativity.

"Today so much of retail is about the customer experience. And because we’re celebrating the moments that matter in life, big and small, we want to ensure the Things Remembered' experience is as personal, thoughtful and engaging as possible," said Nelson Tejada, president and CEO of Things Remembered, in the release.
