UK courier pilots self-serve kiosks for sending parcels

Customers at three U.K. depots will be able to pay for parcel shipment at Parcelforce Worldwide self-serve kiosks during a trial that will run from today through Sept. 14, 2018, according to tamebay.com. The kiosks, which are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., are intended to provide faster service when sending items at depots.

Parcelforce Worldwide is a U.K. based courier and logistics service provider.

The three kiosks are located in the London Central, Newcastle and Milton Keynes depots. Customers also have the option of paying on the Parcelforce website and using a mobile QR code to print labels at the depot before giving their parcel to counter staff.
