Farmatodo, a Venezuelan self-service pharmacy chain, is deploying Oracle Corp. technology to drive store growth, provide enhanced customer service and greater agility in business operations.
With Oracle's technology, the chain, which has 200 stores in Venezuela and Columbia, has built a framework that will help it expand internationally and also support an updated POS system, according to a press release.
Farmatodo is using Oracle's Retail Merchandising System, Retail Store Inventory Management, Retail Warehouse Management System and Retail Xstore Point-of-Service to gain real-time inventory visibility and store consistency for improved customer service.
"The continuity and expansion of our retail operation depended on reducing technological risks and improving information integrity and business processes. We replaced outdated legacy systems with Oracle to create a foundation for growth in Latin America," said Angelo Cirillo, chief information officer, Farmatodo, in the release. "Usually these projects take three years for only one country. Leveraging Oracle's best practices and integrated solutions, we fast-tracked the implementation of two countries in two years."
