Walmart, aka Jet.com, arrives in the Bronx

Walmart's Jet.com is leasing warehouse space in the Bronx, New York after what's been a lengthy battle to establish an e-commerce footprint.

Walmart has faced opposition from local labor organizations in its effort to open a storefront in any of the city's five boroughs, according to a New York Times report.

Walmart's Jet.com is based in New Jersey and was acquired by the national retailer for $3.3 billion two years ago. Packages ordered on Jet.com are being delivered by a Brooklyn delivery service that Walmart bought last year.
