Walmart, Target set holiday sales for October

On the heels of Amazon announcing its second Prime sales event this year, Walmart plans to hold a "Walmart Deals – Holiday Kickoff Sale" from Oct. 9 through Oct. 12.

The event will include deals on home goods, toys, electronics, fashion and more, according to a NJ.com report.

Walmart's event crosses over Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days which runs Oct. 10-11.

Target has also announced a holiday sales event, Circle Week, which will take place well before Amazon's and Walmart's and encompass the longest sales time frame.

The Target sale days will be Oct. 1–7, according to a Good Morning America report.
