Brookstone announces QR code program plans

April 14, 2011

According to DDI.com, Brookstone Inc. has announced plans for a new Quick Response (QR) code program in 30 New York-area stores. Once scanned, the codes offer shoppers reviews, videos and product information.

By taking a picture of the QR code with a smartphone camera, the QR application will open and consumers can access real-time customer reviews and product videos.

“Brookstone customers seek information so they can make informed purchase decisions,” said Ron Boire, CEO for Brookstone. “Using technology such as QR codes in-store complements our knowledgeable staff and creates an online information experience in-store."
