According to Dexigner.com, Candy Rox, a cutting edge confectioner, has opened its first outlet in Rye, N.Y.
D-ash Design was responsible for the interior design and the overall brand strategy and graphic design was developed by Jan MacLatchie, a marketing and advertising firm in New York City. The store offers customers a new retail experience by combining design features of an old-fashioned main street candy store with contemporary themes borrowed from skateboard and surf culture, and rock music.
The 1300-square-foot location transforms the traditional candy store into a hip destination for kids of all ages.
The shop features vintage furniture, barrel lights and glass candy jars, alongside more modern elements that include graffiti-tagged walls. A chain-link fence is suspended from the ceiling for creative lighting and decorative seasonal fixtures and promotions.
