Consumers are downloading retailer mobile apps at double the pace and conducting more in-app purchases, according to a new Synchrony study.
The research reveals 67 percent of consumers have downloaded a retailer app to a mobile phone and are using four retail apps on average on their phone. More than half of the 67 percent downloaded an app due to a coupon or discount offer, noted the Synchrony 2018 Digital Study.
The online survey was conducted by Rothstein Tauber with a base of 1,255 respondents and is the eighth annual survey Synchrony has conducted on digital shopping trends.
