Consumer recording studios use 3-D holographic tech

September 30, 2008

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Provision Interactive Technologies, a subsidiary of Provision Holding Inc., announced that its new 3-D Holographic display, the HL40 Classic Studio is expected to debut this week in the first MyStudio recording studio at the Scottsdale, Ariz., Fashion Square Mall.

According to a news release, the new HL40 Classic Studio is the first of an anticipated 1,000 units that will roll out in MyStudio recording studios around the country.

MyStudio recording studios allow customers to create personalized music videos, as well as videos for modeling, comedy, dating, resumes, auditions and personal messages, and post them online. Provision's HL40 Classic Studio displays will be installed on the exterior of the studios where people passing by can easily interact with the holograms. MyStudio celebrated its first recording studio in Scottsdale on Sept. 27.

Provision's HL40CS units utilize Provision's patented Holo 3-D technology, which projects full-color, high-resolution videos into space detached from the screen. The versatile nature of the streaming videos allow for endless advertising possibilities for a variety of industries.

"We're excited about the launch of MyStudio, with our Provision HL40CS inside, as it represents the beginning of a great product rollout across the country," said Curt Thornton, chief executive of Provision Interactive. "We're also excited because our partnership with MyStudio represented a challenge to make a unit that is as compact as possible."
