NCR, Ecwid partner to drive a better omnichannel experience

NCR and Ecwid, a cloud-based ecommerce platform, are teaming up to provide an improved omnichannel order experience via the NCR Silver point-of-sale solution.

The partnership will allow independent U.S.-based retailers and restaurant owners to bring their business everywhere and anywhere, from online to in-person to mobile devices. The solution also features a mobile branded app, according to a press release.

"Our ecommerce capabilities provide small businesses the flexible selling features they need to compete," said Jim O'Hara, president at Ecwid, in the release. "With an integration to NCR Silver, we can offer small business owners with a more complete solution to reach customers through multiple channels and streamline important back-office functions."

Once activated, Ecwid's ecommerce solution integrates with the NCR Silver solution, providing merchants a one-stop-shop to synchronize in-store and online orders, inventory and sales information.

"Our strategic relationship with Ecwid ensures our customers are fully equipped to deliver the frictionless omnichannel experiences consumers expect today," said Chris Poelma, president and general manager at NCR Silver, in the release. "By offering an integrated solution, we hope to simplify how our customers access and use technology."
