NYC transit going big with digital ads

October 5, 2017

New York City commuters are the target of a massive digital ad campaign in play by the city's MTA agency which plans to install over 30,000 video screens across its thousands of subway cars, stations and platforms.

There will be 31,000 screens in the city's 5,000-plus subway cars, 14,000 digital screens on platforms and stations, and 3,900 screens on commuter trains, according to a New York Post report. The technology will come from Outfront, and offer consumers insight on transit delays and emergency issues, as well as better customer communications.
