Target kicks off Target Week sales event

Target has kicked off another Target Circle Week sales event, running through July 13, boasting savings of up to 50% off thousands of items.
The news comes on the heels of Amazon announcing its bi-annual Prime Day event happening July 16-17 and as Walmart's 'Deals' sales event starts today through July 11.
Target's last Circle Week sales event happened in April.
Members of the free-to-join Target Circle program can save early on back-to-school items, select toys as well as family apparel.
"Target Circle is the best way for guests to save time and money every time they shop," Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief guest experience officer, Target, said in a press release.
In March, Target announced it was dropping prices on thousands of items and plans to deliver an "enhanced shopping experience."
