I wouldn't be the KioskGuy and I would definitely be lying if I said that I wasn't excited about the ICX Summit next week in Dallas. Not only is it at the only AAA Five Diamond resort in the state of Texas, the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, but it is a time to rekindle the comradeship that is the self-serve kiosk and customer experience industries.
After serving on the now dissolved Digital Screen Media Trade Association board from 2011-2012, this is the next generation of the same folks that I always look forward to seeing. But more than just rekindling the relationships of 17 years of kiosks, I am really looking forward to the lineup of speakers set for this year's summit. This year's lineup includes a complete cross section of who's who and who's hot in the ICX world.
The keynote line up is amazing:
Paul Blackburn, vice president of concept design, construction and merchandising at L'OCCITANE en Provence.
Scott Emmons, head of the innovation lab at Neiman Marcus.
Albert Vita, director of strategy and insights at The Home Depot.
It is great to see Elo taking its natural leadership role at self-service shows, but this time, Elo CEO Craig Witsoe is going to present and discuss ELO's unique position of being privy to the best in-store retail interactive experiences on the planet.
I am also am looking forward to hearing from Ashish Tajpuri from Bank of America, as they are well suited as a leader in the banking industry, where I see some of the best prospects for growth in self service.
I am always pleased to see Raj Maini from Intel Corporation at shows, and appreciate his leadership on the ICX Association advisory board.
The list goes on way too long to highlight them all, but the Summit is upon us and I am looking forward to getting to Dallas!
