RetailO2’s Brugh serves as bridge between vendors, retailers

November 3, 2026 by Judy Mottl — Editor: RetailCustomerExperience.com & DigitalSignageToday.com, Connect Media

Company: RetailO2

Gina Brugh, founder and operational excellence director of RetailO2, a retail transformation and technology consultancy, is all about helping retailers identify where technology can genuinely improve the customer experience, operational performance and store execution.

Her role is to understand how a retailer operates, identify friction or missed opportunities, and determine where technology can create a better outcome for customers, stores and support teams. She acts as the bridge between technology vendors and retailers, translating retail needs into workable solutions and helping ensure implementation delivers the intended value.

With more than 25 years in retail, one of her most significant accomplishments has been bringing global retail technology to New Zealand and Australia, including introducing solutions to the region that had not been seen or used in those countries. She combines practical retail experience, commercial judgement and a global view of innovation with a simple philosophy: retailers need to work smarter, not harder and technology should enable better retail outcomes rather than become the focus itself.

These are just a few reasons we chose Gina Brugh as one of Connect Media's Top Women in Retail Technology Award winners. Connect Media's Top Women in Retail Technology Awards recognize women driving retail technology innovations.
