Keeping an eye on consumer and customer activity, whether it’s how they traverse the retail brick-and-mortar store or click around the online storefront is a crucial activity for every retailer today. It not only provides deep insight on what the customer wants and needs, it can help foster greater understanding of providing consumers a better shopping experience while helping fine tune everything from store design to product and merchandise marketing.

But knowing how to squeeze the most benefit from a traffic management strategy and making sense of the data that quickly begins piling up can be a challenge. That’s why Retail Customer Experience has partnered with HeadCount Corp to host a free webinar this month to help retailers with such needs. The hour-long event will provide insider tips and advice, as well as guidance and the opportunity to ask experts those important questions, said Judy Mottl, editor of RetailCustomerExperience.com, who will moderate the webinar.

Thefree live online event, happening  at 2 p.m. EDT, July 16, will focus on three ways retailers can get the most from a traffic and conversion program. The focus will be on using the collected data regarding consumer behavior and traffic and use the valuable information to drive sales and customer engagement.

Mark Ryski, an analytics guru and author, present insight on how to identify and handle traffic count data quality issue, establishing trust in the data and why such traffic and conversion programs often get derailed and how to avoid that scenario from the start, Mottl said.

Ryski, who is also CEO and founder of HeadCount Corp., is the author of “Conversion: The Last Great Retail Metric and When Retail Customers Count,” which is available on Amazon. One reader review said that the book is “an indispensable handbook for C Level retail executives on how to get it right.”
