The trendspotters at PSFK.com say they’re noticing two trends that seem to run counter to one another: the drive to add interactive screens in stores and the increased use of smart mobile devices to provide shoppers with similar access to information, along with a variety of additional services.
The site opines that the "mobile concierge" trend could render redundant the interactive retail display and offers a six-point list suggesting retailers should favor a mobile strategy over an interactive display strategy — along with a two-point rebuttal of same.
