Nordstrom, at 225 W. 57th St. in Manhattan, New York is welcoming holiday shoppers and owns the title of the biggest freestanding store in the borough. The seven-story-high location, filling 320,000 square feet of women’s fashion and accessories, took seven years to create during a decade that has seen big New York brands such as Lord & Taylor take leave from Manhattan, according to a New York Post report.
The store is home to a half-dozen eating and drinking venues, 100,000 pairs of shoes and lots of digital technology, such as touchscreens to help shoppers choose every product aspect from shape and color to fabric and size.
