Recon Instruments teams up with Frank Mayer and Associates on merchandising strategy

Recon’s smart eyewear finds a home in a smart innovative display program.

Recon Instruments is merchandising its smart eyewear via an innovative display program through a partnership with Frank Mayer and Associates.

Recon’s Recon Jet series smart sunglasses will be showcased in the displays in specialty sporting goods retailers worldwide, according to an announcement.

The retail configuration displays are secured, yet accessible hinged light boxes featuring a looping video.

"Wearables and the Internet of Things represent a major shift in personal computing experience, and the public's fascination with their potential can be serviced at the point of sale to entertain, delight and draw traffic," said Thomas Fowler, Recon CMO.

"Consumers have many options when it comes to shopping venues so delivering a magical customer experience in every environment is particularly important today. When a customer enters a brick and mortar store, they expect more than product selection; they expect an experience that they can't get in the online shopping world," he added.
