Upscale Mexican store renovates with BrightSign-powered digital signage

El Palacio de Hierro, a department store chain in Mexico, recently upgraded its flagship store Al Palacio de los Palacios in Mexico City with a 60-inch LED sphere, full ceiling LED display, outdoor displays interactive kiosks and other displays throughout the store. BrightSign provided 4K digital signage media players to manage the content for all the displays, according to a press release.

The media players power 19 90-inch Samsung LCD displays in the atrium, multiple LED displays, multiple LED displays and one ceiling-mounted display, the 60-inch LED sphere and a video wall made of 20 550inch LCD displays.

"Al Palacio de los Palacios is arguably the most amazing department store in the world, so we wanted to create a masterpiece worthy of its prominent location, Jacobo Jafif, CEO of Basha, the designers of the LED sphere and ceiling LED display, said in the release. "Foregoing traditional stained glass in favor of LED components not only enabled us to keep the project on budget, but the store now has a beautiful, dynamic centerpiece that can be visually altered to reflect whatever mood El Palacio de Hierro intends to create."
