Amazon dominating voice-control speaker realm, claims report

Amazon is a dominating etailer on many fronts and now it's dominating the voice-controlled speaker technology realm, according to a eMarketer research.

While the industry is still emerging, Amazon is tops thanks to its Echo and Echo Dot devices which will hold 70.6 percent of the market this year, according to a New York Post report.

That means Google and its Home device own about 23.8 percent share. The Post report states the research predicts the user community will more than double this year, hitting 35.6 million.
