Mobile platform aims to empower store associates to boost customer experience

M.Gemi and PredictSpring are debuting a store associate app that aims to tap store associates to better the retail customer experience.

The in-store mobile commerce platform is in play at M.Gemi stores in New York City's Soho area and the Boston Prudential Center, and is helping the direct-to-consumer accessories brand better meet customer needs, according to a press release.

It's also being used on the M.Gemi Andiamo Tour, a traveling gelato truck that sells the brand's big selling sneaker, the Cerchio, throughout the Northeast.

The app's features include:

Clienteling: Store associates can access customer information such as name, date of birth and past purchase history, including the ability to see items added to the customer's online cart.

mPOS: The app offers a user-friendly checkout process integrated with a leading hand-held payment capture device.

Showroom scheduler: Store associates can schedule an appointment with customers at either its Soho or Boston stores.

Real-time inventory: In one click, store associates can check availability of online inventory and arrange for shipment directly to the customer. This helps keep storage and stock sizes low at boutiques.
