Amazon opened the doors to its second Amazon Go store in New York this morning at 6 a.m., and the store marks the omnichannel retailer's thirteenth Go store in the country.
The store, at 300 Park Avenue, offers both a cashier-less and cash payment POS experience, according to a CNBC report, and opens just a month since the first New York Go store launched at Brookfield Place, in downtown.
"New York really fits ... what we're looking for," Cameron Janes, vice president of physical stores at Amazon, told CNBC. "It's high density. ... Lots of people on the go. It’s a great fit for us."
Reports have stated Amazon plans to have 3,000 Go stores operating in just two years.
