Robots, no-cash experience coming to Shake Shack NYC location

There won't be any humans taking orders and no cash exchanged at the impending Shake Shack location in the East Village of New York City.

Hungry consumers will tap touchscreen kiosks via an app to place orders, according to a New York Post report on the Astor Place branch set to open this month.

There will be humans serving as hospitality "champs" to help consumers with any problems. Consumers will be able to pay by credit card via smart phones and tablets.
